June 17, 2009 – WASHINGTON: The National Security Agency is facing renewed scrutiny over the extent of its domestic surveillance program, with critics in Congress saying its recent intercepts of the private telephone calls and e-mail messages of Americans are broader than previously acknowledged, current and former officials said.
The agency’s monitoring of domestic e-mail messages, in particular, has posed longstanding legal and logistical difficulties, the officials said.
Since April, when it was disclosed that the intercepts of some private communications of Americans went beyond legal limits in late 2008 and early 2009, several Congressional committees have been investigating.
June 17, 2009 - It was indeed encouraging to see the revival of the great American spirit in Tea Party events, held in cities all around America on April 15th. We heartily applaud their efforts. Maybe, just maybe, many Americans have a spine after all and the “spine” is stiffening against the dictatorial trash being offered up by the Democrats, who have truly lost their collective minds, along with those who voted for this manufactured mirage of “hope” and “change”. Now that is what we call traitorous “hope” and “change” ….. a rose by any other name.
Most of the tea parties were held in public squares where there was room for the thousands to mill about and wave signs in the air. Oh yes, the events received lots of news coverage (mostly Fox News), but much of it fell on deaf ears and was demeaned by the main stream media as just a bunch of kooks or racists who don’t like Obama. How wrong they were and still are.

Judge Sotomayor’s life story is the embodiment of the American Dream and I believe that her nomination will be an inspiration to many Americans. I look forward to considering her nomination in the Senate.”
Since when is one’s “life story” a qualifier to sit on the highest court in the land?
June 15, 2009 – How weak is the human soul that it cannot hang on to freedom? How pathetic that once-proud and self-reliant Americans continue to fall into the trap that government camouflages in the shadows of the public treasury, in its quest for absolute power over all the people.
