June 26, 2009 – America was born out of a bloody revolution, a revolution created by the rising tyranny of a King. Much blood was spilled in that painful birth of freedom. The second American revolution, the unCivil War, was born out of a schism between states rights and federal power, over the issue of slavery. Much blood was spilled in that war to “test whether our nation, or any nation, conceived in liberty, can long endure.” Even today, almost 150 years later, the scars left over from that war simmers as a constant undercurrent of anger and resentment in some parts of the nation.
Now as free Americans are pushed, shoved, cajoled and coerced towards the precipice of enslavement by an out-of-control government, will much blood have to be spilled to once again reclaim our freedom?
June 26, 2009 – One might be tempted to dismiss the recent findings of the US State Department on human trafficking as largely political. But do not be too hasty.
Criticism of the State Department’s report on trafficked persons, issued on 16 June, should be rife. The language describing US allies’ efforts to combat the problem seems undeserved, especially when one examines the nearly 320- page report and observes the minuscule efforts of these governments. Also, it was hardly surprising to find that Cuba, North Korea, Iran and Syria — Washington’s foremost foes — languish in the report’s Tier 3 category, i.e. countries where the problem is most grave and least combated. Offenders in Tier 3 are subject to US sanctions, while governments of countries in Tier 1 are perceived as vigilant in fighting human trafficking.
Make everyday count, as if it were your last.

She is now with the Angels.
She tried – which is more than most will ever do. Rest in Peace Farrah – you are deserving.
June 25, 2009 – For those of you who have become accustomed to reading my articles on a regular basis I regretfully apologize for the sudden drought of writings on my part. I was engrossed in a book, and then, when I had just about finished it, my wife suffered an injury at work which caused her to temporarily lose the use of her right hand. So I have been a bit overloaded with chores and making sure she is comfortable.
As some of you may know, the book I was reading was Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand. Although it is a work of fiction I found that much of the story closely parallels what is going on in this country at this time.
June 25, 2009 – A government run health Insurance company would be exactly the tool needed to shutter private insurance companies in America and drive currently insured Americans into the arms of the government owned company while at the same time demonstrating the “need” for a universal healthcare system even though the “need” was created by the government itself.
And another thing: Where, exactly does the government expect to get the doctors for ObamaCare? Has anyone in Washington thought of that, yet? I mean – New medical students will only decide to enter medical schools if they know that they can make a living once they graduate and set up their practice.
