The author said, "Uncommon valor was common virtue for the American troops who secured our nations liberty.

Reality check. What did the Viet Nam war have to do with securing our nation's liberty?

Thanks Rick for yet another great piece!!
This memorial day it is time for all vets to come out of hiding their heroics and tell everyone they know Just how we are loosing our freedoms.

They valiantly fought and many died to help we Americans have a country to be proud of..

I thank God daily for our dedicated service people no matter what branch they serve or have served in..I OWE them a big Thanks. We who are living must keep telling the non- believers, just what is in store for them should we loose everything these brave people donated there lives for, GOD bless you for continuing to serve, maybe now more than ever, by alerting the sheeple..
And Thanks to Jeffrey for sharing your views with the rest of us. Fizz

Outstanding Rick. I have an old U.S.S, Tennesse cruise book that always been an inspiration to me. The Tennessee bb-43 was docked next to the U.S.S, Arizona when
Japanese Zeros attacked Pearl Harbor 12/7/41. The ship's gun crews along with marines under command of Sgt.Major Roger Emmons returned a blanket of A/Afire
which saved the battleship. After refitting from bomb damage, bb-43 provided naval
cannon fire for marine landings in Tarawa, Kwajalein, Eniwetok, Kavieng, and many south Pacific islands including Iwo Jima on 2/16/45. My father, U.S.N. and two uncles
U.S.M.C. were K.I.A. along with countless other troops . The pride, love of country
and fighting spirit of our greatest generation is beyond measure. God bless our veterans past and present. John Slagle U.S. Navy ABH 3 1963-1969
