May 17, 2009 – I don’t know, I must be getting old. Maybe it is senility, or possibly the early stages of Alzheimer’s, but I am confused. This whole issue of terrorism has got me in a conundrum.

Putting aside the still unanswered questions about 9/11, if we are to believe our government, we are in a war on terror with radicals who want to bring death and destruction to American soil.

After all, isn’t that why we have approximately 140,000 U.S. troops deployed to Iraq, and another 30,000 deployed to Afghanistan? Isn’t that why President Bush established the Department of Homeland Security? C’mon, if a President is going to overstep his Constitutional authority, he may as well do it in a way the benefits the country, right?

But now, this is where I get confused, why did the Department of Homeland Security issue a report labeling a wide array of groups as possible extremists, threats to our national security?

According to Janet Napolitano, if you oppose abortion, the income tax, the Federal Reserve Bank, the New World Order and even if you are a disgruntled vet, you are a possible threat to our nations security.

The report also labels anyone who opposes illegal immigration as a possible threat. But wait just a second, the mission statement of the Dept. of Homeland Security states, “We will lead the unified national effort to secure America. We will prevent and deter terrorist attacks and protect against and respond to threats and hazards to the Nation. We will secure our national borders while welcoming lawful immigrants, visitors, and trade.”

What gives? You either are for or against illegal immigration. I mean this monstrous governmental agency has a proposed budget for 2009 of $44 billion and they say they will secure our borders, but label anyone else who opposes illegal immigration as a terrorist? Do you see now why I am a bit confused?

So who and what are we at war with? The cost of defending the Homeland against terrorism is a staggering $44 billion, and they don’t even seem to know who they are dedicated to fighting against, us or them.

On top of all that we have spend over $850 billion on two wars half way around the globe, with over 4200 U.S. servicemen having lost their lives. For what? Now I am not degrading the men and women of the Armed Forces, they are only doing their jobs. It just seems our government does not seem to know who exactly is our enemy.

On February 23rd, Barack Obama said, “My highest priority is to keep the American people safe. I believe that Homeland Security is indistinguishable from National Security – conceptually and functionally, they should be thought of together rather than separately. Instead of separating these issues, we must create an integrated, effective, and efficient approach to enhance the national security of the United States.”

On the surface that sounds all well and good, but I have some questions. First, if National Security is such a big issue, why the hell haven’t our borders been locked down? After all, if we want to stop terrorists from being able to enter our country and perform acts of terror, wouldn’t you think the borders would be a good place to try and stop them from entering? Or does that make too much sense?

Secondly, we have to know just who the hell we are fighting. I would like to know what good it is going to do for the United States to build military bases and a massive embassy complex in Iraq? So what if we install a democracy in Iraq, is that going to stop the terrorists from hating us and coming up with new ways to terrorize us?

These terrorists, whether they be Al Qaeda, or any other splinter group, all have the same goal, to use terror to achieve a goal. Although our support for Israel is one of the thorns in their side, it is not the only reason they hate us so.

Their hatred comes from a deep belief that their religion is the only true religion, and that anyone who follows any other religion, particularly Christianity, is an infidel, and unbeliever. We are either to be converted, or killed.

Form their Koran, or Qur’ an, as they prefer to call it, Sura 9:5 “Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war.”

From the same book, Sura 8:39 “Fight them until all opposition ends and all submit to Allah.” Those are pretty clear cut instructions for true followers of Islam in regards to you and I – wouldn’t you say?

Prior to his death in 671 A.D., Muhammed Ishbaq Yasar wrote the following, “Fight them so that there is no more rebellion, and religion, all of it, is for Allah only. Allah must have no rivals.”

So you see, this conflict between their religion and ours goes back a long way. It is only my belief that they are adapting to modern times, and using modern weapons to do what Allah has instructed them to do.

I would recommend it to everyone who wants to know about the struggles that have taken place with the followers of Islam over the course of history.

Now do you see why I don’t think a change in government in Iraq or Afghanistan isn’t going to change anything? Our government refuses to admit that we are fighting a war of ideologies, and our enemies intent is our conversion, or our destruction.

One of the most virulent strains of Islam is Wahhabism, an extreme brand of Islam practiced predominantly in Saudi Arabia. The Wahhabi sect actively promotes the installation of Sharia law which considers unbelievers to be infidels.

They consider such acts as honor killings as acceptable behavior. An honor killing is an act of violence, usually murder, committed by male family members against female family members, who are held to have brought dishonor upon the family.

By strict interpretation of Islamic law, women are to be covered at all times, they are not to hold jobs, or even be educated. It is common practice in Saudi for public amputations for thievery, and beheadings for more severe crimes. In some countries, such as Iran, public stonings are still held for crimes such as adultery. These are the beliefs that the radical followers of Islam want to convert the world to, or kill if they don’t accept them.

Yet our government doesn’t want to admit this, or at least if they do, they won’t do it publicly. Why is that? And why has the media, whose job it is to report the truth, been silent on this issue as well?

Why has the media, or our government not told us that of the 1200 mosques currently in existence in the United States, approximately 80% of them are led by Wahhabi clerics, who preach this hatred filled version of Islam within our nations borders.

These clerics are teaching that suicide bombing is worthy of praise and that Jihad is every Muslims duty. These are our enemies and yet we have sent our young men and women half way across the globe to fight and die – for what, to install a democracy in Iraq? More likely it is to feed the war machine which profits the military industrial complex. But that is another story for another day.

The point of this essay is to show you that your government has lied to you, once again, about the reason for going to war. This whole war on terror is a sham, nothing more. Sure, we face a serious threat, but our government refuses to admit who the enemy really is.

We now have a president who promises to negotiate with these people who want to see us dead. He has the gall to say he represents America, and then bows before the King of Saudi Arabia. To bow to someone is an admission of that persons stature over you. Sorry Barack, I don’t bow to any earthly king.

So what have I proven so far? We have a government that says it is fighting a war on terror, but they obviously have no clue who the enemy really is. On top of that, they have the unmitigated gall to say that those of us who oppose their policies are also to be considered as a threat to our nation, yet they allow the real enemy to roam freely amongst us? And again, why haven’t our borders been sealed?

The people of this country need to stop believing in all this nonsense they have been told and wake up to the facts. The truth is out there for anyone who wants to find it. Or you can always chose to believe what you are being told, by your government and the media. Just keep this statistic in mind, by the year 2025 it is believed that the number of Christians across the globe will drop to less than 25%, while the number of Muslims will have increased to over 30%.

They will outnumber us, eventually. The sooner we realize that a good number of them intend to convert, or kill us, the better. Just remember, there is no alcohol under Sharia law. I wonder how many of you will wake up to what is happening when you can’t have any more beer on Super Bowl Sunday?

Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders and says “OH SHIT!!…. HE’S AWAKE!!”
