Most likely you would be pretty pissed off and you would do something to try and stop them. After all, those items belong to you, and how dare they try to take them from you.
Think about that scenario for just a moment. Those items are mere possessions, they are something you bought with the money that you earned. Although no one has the right to come take them from you, they could still be replaced if need be.
April 5, 2009 - There is a secession movement afoot and its proponents are determined to put a halt to the federal government’s ambitions to destroy and reconstruct an entire economy and dissolve the last remnants of individual liberty. Twenty-eight states are invoking the law of the land, the U.S. Constitution, by rolling out legislation to assert their sovereignty as free states in order to keep from being undermined by the never-ending swarm of unrestrained federal decrees.
The speed with which the federal government intends to take over private institutions and usurp states’ rights and individual autonomy is unprecedented. When the Bush-Obama regime maneuvers are compared to the Hoover-FDR New Deal era, it looks like today’s hare vs. yesterday’s turtle.
April 5, 2009 – Across the nation, state legislatures are struggling to take back their Constitutional rights as they also seek ways to protect us from outside threats. This has led to some near schizophrenic legislative sessions with laws swinging widely from left to right.
Making it more difficult to get a handle on the situation is the fact that there has been an outgrowth of near “rabid” anti-immigration groups that have sprung up demanding near-Hitler-style tactics to “fix” the problem. While the situation is certainly serious and demands action, these groups openly admit that they are willing to surrender their liberties if that is what it takes to end illegal immigration. They may deeply regret that cavalier dismissal of liberty. Once lost, it is rarely regained.
April 5, 2009 – Oil producing nations such as Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, along with Venezuela, will grow rich while Americans will be faced with high costs for gasoline, motor and heating oil, and everything else that depends on oil such as asphalt or even Vaseline.
Meanwhile, oil producers in America, large and small, will take a financial beating. If you don’t like living in a modern, advanced and industrialized society, you will favor this. If you think Americans consume too much, drive too much, and deserve to be punished for it, you will favor this.
I do not think a day goes by without someone asking me why I always look so serious. It’s not that I am serious all the time, most of the time my mind is a thousand miles away, thinking about what I am going to write about next. However, there are times when that serious look is a symptom of something else entirely.
As a rule, I try to look at the bright side of things; unfortunately, there are days when I just can’t seem to find the silver lining, no matter how hard I try. On these rare occasions, I experience an overwhelming sense of sadness that penetrates to the very depths of my soul.
April 4, 2009 – Do their crimes rise to the level of treason, high crimes and misdemeanors? Do we dare utter the “I” word? Does the future hold ….. gasp ….. impeachment for Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid for the unconscionable, treasonous actions each of them has taken in the last few months to “fix” a crisis that they and their partners in crime and the previous administration and congress, created?
Is there an international cabal of money changers and power brokers that are calling the shots and Obama, Pelosi and Reid are just willing accomplices? Is there an international plan to strip America of its wealth and resources, void its constitution and eliminate its borders and its very sovereignty, to create a socialist, one-world-government, run by that corrupt of all organizations, the United Nations? Are Obama, Pelosi and Reid working to implement that plan? From our perspective, it is abundantly obvious.
