You began waking up. You began seeing the shallowness of the controlled mass media. You began looking for a substitute. Like magic and the proverbial rabbit was pulled out of the magicians hat, and entered the alternative and patriot media. Just what you were looking for. It has been said, ‘in the world of politics that nothing happens by chance.’ Where politics are concerned, things are thought out, planned and implemented at their right time to usher in the desired change of the controllers. The alternative and patriot media have many attributes compared with the sterile mass media. But they are no panacea. They are certainly no safe haven. They are a field filled with deadly mines to snare the unsuspecting. This article will look at one of these mines known as ‘Transference.’ 

The controllers know the vast majority of the population will fall in line through their controlled mass media and believe what it feeds them. They also know that there will be three to five percent of the population who will see through this and could become potential troublemakers. The controllers had to decide how to keep this small but potentially dangerous minority of the population from causing too much trouble while they were completing their plans for total world domination and control. Consider one aspect of the controllers modus operandi. They don’t accept competition. Anyone or any organization that threatens their agenda are simply taken out. History is filled with more than enough examples of this that there can be no doubt about the fate of real dissenters who begin to grow beyond their control. So consider the question … If the alternative and patriot media are a real threat to the controllers, why have they allowed it to continue to exist? Could it be that they know something most of us haven’t caught onto yet? Could these forms of alternative media be playing right into the hands of the agenda of the very controllers these media profess to be fighting against?

In psychology there is a well established principle known as transference. Basically transference is a process the mind uses to transfer unpleasant thoughts and feelings to some outside person or object thereby reliving the mind of having to deal with its own internal stress and anxiety. In effect, the stresses of the mind are dissipated to others outside ourselves in an attempt to reestablish a feeling of normalcy within the mind. The process of transference takes place automatically by the mind and unless we become conscious of it, we will end up being controlled by it rather that taking control of our own lives and actions. Let’s see how this process of transference plays right into the hands of the controllers through the process of transference if we fall into its snare. Transference and the benefits it can bring to the controllers is one of the reasons they have allowed the alternative and patriot media to continue to exist and even grow. Remember, if something does not serve them, they will eliminate it!

In physics opposites attract one another. But it is not like that in the world of mind and ideas. In the realm of mind with its ideas it’s likes attract likes. So you have the liberals flocking to other liberals, conservatives flocking to other conservative, patriots seeking out other patriots and so on. So we see that the alternative media will only be attractive and seek out other like-minded people, which comprises a small percent of the population. By allowing the alternative media to exist, the controllers have a way to keep large numbers of these dissenters together is one general location. It also makes it easier for them to monitor the activities of these dissenters to make sure they don’t pose any real threat to their agenda. When a threat is perceived, they will pick them off one at a time, as is well documented. Now we have all these hot-blooded angry rebels together in one place, primarily the internet. Now what? The controllers sit back and allow nature to take its course. Some people will call into radio talk shows all of the time venting their frustrations over what the controllers are doing to them now. Others join participate in mailing list, e-mail chat groups, blogs, or participate actively in chat rooms. In all these venue they always do the very same thing. They rant and rave about the unfairness of the current actions of the controllers. All these people are very frustrated some are very angered over what is happening around them. When they participate in chat rooms, call talk in shows, write lengthy articles, join e-mail chat rings this inner anger and frustration they feel is gradually dissipated through these things and they feel better again. They feel as if they have made some difference. They feel like they did something. But what did they do?

Realize that the alternative media for the most part is filled up with likeminded people. When we write articles, send out e-mails, participate in call in radio talk shows and chat rooms we are just preaching to the choir. The people who really need this information to wake up are not listening. The net effect is instead of letting our pent up anger and frustration which are given to us to have the power to do something useful, we have squandered on meaningless ranting and raving to people who already know all this stuff. What was accomplished? Little if anything in terms of the larger picture. This is the reason the controllers have allowed and continue to allow the alternative media to exist. It provides a forum with multiple outlets for that small percent of the population which think outside the box, the independent thinkers, to dissipate their pent up anger and frustration through transference in cyberspace rather than to use that pent up energy to come after them! Think about this concept. Watch it operate within yourself. When you call up a show, join a chat room or the like how do you feel in the beginning? Angry? Frustrated? Fearful? Then consider how you feel later after participating in these offerings of the alternative media. Do you feel better? less fearful, angry, or frustrated? If so perhaps you transferred these feelings into the cyberspace of likeminded individuals where they did little if any good but gave you the illusion you have done something to further progress toward freedom.

It should not be misunderstood that this author is putting down the alternative media. He is not. There are many good and beneficial things that the alternative media does. We need to remember that it is not the media that is to be faulted but each of us, if we allow ourselves to misuse it, such as using it as a modality for transference. Many of the host and programs in the alternative and patriot media are comprised of very honest and sincere people who really want to make a difference. But remember that in the end it is not preaching to the small group of the choir that will make any real lasting difference toward real change. It will require leaving the choir and going out to the ghetto and preaching to the ignorant. Nearly two thousand years ago one who is today known as Jesus was reported to be asked, by the controllers of his day, why he associated so much with the poor, dirty, the tax collectors and other undesirables. His heart felt reply was that the man or woman who is well and whole does not need a doctor. The choir does not need a doctor, the sleeping sheep do. We need to reevaluate how we use the internet and the alternative media. We need to cherish it as a tool but not fall into the snare of transferring our energy into empty cyberspace, but to keep that energy and let it build up within to be dissipated among the sick blind sheep who need the benefit of the doctor.
