January 22, 2009 - I awoke this morning after a restless night of sleep. As I get older, sleep is less frequent, as I realize that I have much to accomplish, before I leave this world, and time is short, not only for me – but also for the Republic, which can hardly stand.

Granny must not be too agile this morning, because I have received little from her this day. I am concerned for her physical well-being…

January 22, 2009 - The new economy is awash in contradictions, but few are more troubling than this one: At the very moment that brainpower is more important than ever, education seems more backward than ever. We have a new economy but outdated schools.

Out of this disconnect has emerged a quiet grassroots rebellion aimed at reinventing both the form and the function of American education. Charter schools – publicly funded startup schools that operate mostly free of regulation – have boomed.

January 22, 2009 - Critical decisions, based purely on emotions, at the expense of reason, are at the very least, dangerous in the extreme. The emotional hysteria involving the coronation of our new president is frightening indeed and should be seen by those who truly believe in the Bill of Rights, especially the Second Amendment (2A), as a gathering storm. This type of intense worship and adulation for a statist leader has not been witnessed since the 1930s in Europe.

January 21, 2009 - After the first 11 interviews with my brother Police Officer and Detective Howard Wooldridge of Lansing, Michigan (retired) concerning the “War on Drugs”, more and more Americans understand the underpinnings of how the U.S. government protracts a national taxpayer fraud.  How big a fraud?  Taxpayers forked over $1 trillion in 38 years paying for the impotent “War on Drugs.”  Results?  America suffers more drugs, major drug networks, cheaper drugs and more potent drugs!

“The civil government in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico has collapsed. In El Paso’s sister city of 1.5 million—murders, mutilation, torture, kidnappings and extortions are committed with impunity. January 21, 2009 – Given the historical ramifications of this day – Inauguration Day 2009 – the first day in the administration of the 44th Presidency of the united States of America – one can only wonder – what will that first day of school be like for so many new students…

January 21, 2009 - On a chilly January morning, three of us drove beneath a cloud-strewn sky through forests, fields, and ancient terraces, making our way from Jerusalem to Israel’s southern region where thousands of people live within range of Hamas’s rockets. As we approached our destination, I noticed another cloud, a towering column of black smoke on the horizon, billowing from northern Gaza, where a battle was raging.

January 20, 2009 – Despite my sincere best wishes for the incoming administration, I remain a prisoner of reason and empirical evidence. We all should want President Obama to succeed, for as he goes so goes the nation and the republic.

However, as main stream enablers wallow in self congratulatory euphoria, the London Daily Mail offers a chilling reality check. “A victory for the cult of the cult,” the Daily Mail writes. “Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.”
