January 22, 2009 – In the 48-hour time period between Monday and Wednesday three events will collide to put newly-inaugurated President Barack Obama in the crosshairs of those pushing the anti-”anti-illegal” immigration agenda in this country.
First, on Monday – in a stunning last-minute move – then-President George W. Bush granted clemency to the two border patrol agents who were serving eleven and twelve year sentences for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler in the buttocks back in 2005, then conspiring to cover it up.
January 22, 2009 - I awoke this morning after a restless night of sleep. As I get older, sleep is less frequent, as I realize that I have much to accomplish, before I leave this world, and time is short, not only for me – but also for the Republic, which can hardly stand.

January 22, 2009 - Critical decisions, based purely on emotions, at the expense of reason, are at the very least, dangerous in the extreme. The emotional hysteria involving the coronation of our new president is frightening indeed and should be seen by those who truly believe in the Bill of Rights, especially the Second Amendment (2A), as a gathering storm. This type of intense worship and adulation for a statist leader has not been witnessed since the 1930s in Europe.
